Frequently Asked Questions
Are Liquid Optics cameras compatible with my marine display?
Our cameras are compatible with many Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad and Furuno displays. Compatibility depends on the camera and display model, so please contact us before ordering if you are unsure.
What is the difference between the LITE and PRO cameras?
The LITE range uses a simple analog video connection, while the PRO range uses an IP network connection for higher-quality digital video.
Can the cameras be used underwater?
Only our dedicated underwater camera models are designed for underwater installation. Anchor/bow cameras must be installed above the waterline.
Can I view the camera directly on my chartplotter?
Yes, provided your chartplotter has a compatible video input or network connection.
Do the cameras work at night?
Performance depends on the available lighting and water conditions. Additional marine lighting may improve visibility at night.
Can I install the camera myself?
We recommend installation by a qualified marine electronics technician to ensure correct positioning, sealing and wiring.
What size hole is required?
Most Liquid Optics cameras require a compact 25 mm cut-out. Always check the product specifications before installation.
Are wiring looms included?
This depends on the camera model and package selected. Wiring looms are available separately in multiple lengths.
Can the camera angle be adjusted?
Yes. Optional wedge kits are available to help achieve the correct viewing angle for different vessel shapes.
Are replacement parts available?
Yes. Our serviceable design allows the internal camera module to be replaced without replacing the entire housing.
What warranty is included?
Liquid Optics cameras include a two-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.
